AI in the work place…

As in so many things the debate around AI swings wildly from the doom and gloom view that AI will bring about the destruction of the human race to the contrary and utopian view that AI will save humanity.

Whatever your personal position on this subject the reality is AI is already changing the world we live in. For a technology that is really only in it’s practical infancy it’s impact is rapidly growing wider and deeper, from reading cancer scans to fighting financial crime.

I joke about ‘conversational interfaces (bots to you and me) in this cartoon but I can see huge social benefits in care of the elderly and many other areas. A more reasoned debate, a better understanding of the potential and limitations and a more creative and adventurous approach to experimentation with AI will help us achieve a better understanding of the potential of this technology.
